Birthday Box

This is a cute little birthday box I made. It can be filled with candy or gift cards or both! This one is a simple design but if you come up with your own I would love to see them!

Here are the directions....

Start with a piece of paper 5 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches

Here is where you need to score...

Score the on the short side at 1/2 inch, 1 inch, 4 1/2, and 5 inches.

Score on the long side at 1 1/2 inches, 2 1/2 inches, 5 inches, 6 inches, 8 1/2 inches and 9 inches.

Cut out and discard all the shaded areas.

Fold on score lines.

Use the corner rounder to round the corners of the top of the box.

Next we are going to make an insert to be the bottom of the top box. Cut an extra piece of paper 3 and 5/16 by 1 and 1/2. You might have to adjust the 3 and 5/16 I can't seem to get it exactly right each time.

Score at 1/2 and 1 inch.

Fold on your scored lines to create a U shape.

Sticky Strip or glue your U piece to form the bottom of the top box

Fold the flaps in and glue or sticky strip to hold in place.

Cut two extra pieces 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 (you may have to trim them a little). Add Designer Paper.

Add the front pieces to your box to create the pockets for the goodies.

Finish Embellishing... and load up with candy or gift cards. And you are done! Embellish it and change it around to make your own box. You could also leave off the belly band and add some magnets under the flap to keep the box shut.

Purple Pennant Parade

Can you tell which set I pre ordered from the new Stampin' Up Catalog???? Here is another card with the new Pennant Parade set. This card uses all 5 shades of purple that Stampin' Up! offers. My daughter is a purple nut so I had her in mind when I made this one.

Ink/Paper: Wisteria Wonder (New), Concord Crush, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Rich Razzleberry.

Stamps: A Word for You, Pennant Parade

More Pennant Parade

So on the last post these cute little triangles were birthday hats and now they are ice cream cones and banners. Tricky Huh!

Stamps: Pennant Parade (New), Bring on the Cake

Punches: Cupcake Builder, Petite Pennant Builder (New) Circle Punch

Paper: Pocketful Of Posies (New), Baja Breeze, Espresso, Razzleberry, Daffodil, Crumb Cake

I embossed the ice cream scoops with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to make them shinny.

Thanks for coming by :)

Top Card: Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso

Bottom Card: Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral.

Hopefully there will be more Pennant Parade cards to post later this week and next!
