Wicked Cool

Hello Again!  If you are reading this blog things might be a little backwards to you.  I always get some Christmas cards posted in August and September and then go backward and do Halloween in late Sept and October.  I really do know the order of the Holidays I just get busy doing a Christmas swap with other demonstrators so I get those posted and then move on to Halloween.  Hmm??? I know... it makes sense to me! :)

Anyway I am back with a Halloween card for you.  I did this for the Paper Player Sketch Challenge this week.  I always love the sketch challenges because you just fill in the blanks and "POOF" out comes a card.  If you want to visit the page and check out all the wonderful cards you can find it at
http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2012/09/paper-players-114-anns-sketch.htm

Snowflake Soiree #2

Happy Friday!  Here is my last Christmas card of the week.  This card uses the set "Snowflake Soiree" from the Stampin up Holiday Mini Catalog.    The small "Christmas" is from the set "More Merry Message" which you can find in the main catalog.  The colors in this card are Early Espresso, and Marina Mist.  The Designer Paper is from the same stack I used yesterday from the Holiday Mini called Festival Of Prints.  I have gotten a lot of use out of this great little stack of paper!

I hope you have a great weekend.

Penguin Pyramid

Good Morning!  So I think I must have been thinking about the upcoming football season yesterday when I was playing with my Christmas stamps.  Anyway I ended up with a very "cheery" Penguin Pyramid.

These cute little guys come from the set "No Peeking" in the Stampin Up Catalog.  I also used the set "Pennant Parade" for the sign, "More Merry Messages" for the Christmas in the middle, and the TO and the U are from the same "No Peeking" set.  To make the U use the Y on the Jolly Christmas stamp.  Just color in part of it!

The paper on this card is from the same pack I used yesterday out of the Holiday Mini, and the other colors are Old Olive, and Cherry Cobbler.

Thanks for stopping by!

Snowflake Soiree

Hello Again!!  I am still working towards getting all my Christmas swaps done!  I tend to go for the more cute Christmas cards instead of the pretty ones so today I tried for pretty.  This is a new set called "Snowflake Soiree" that you can find in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog (p 5/ $21.95 in clear mount).  The Designer paper is also from the Holiday Mini on p 20.  You might have to look close but this paper comes in a 4 1/2" by 6 1/2 stack instead of the 12 by 12 that you are used to.  I love this paper because it is only $6.95 and you get lots of designs to use on your cards and projects.

Ink Paper: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Island Indigo, Versa Mark (the snowflakes in the background)

I actually already have a card done to post tomorrow so be sure to stop back by!!!

No Peeking

Oh my gosh!  Count them up!  This is 3 days in a row of posting!  I am on a roll!  Here is Christmas card #3 for the swap I am doing.  This uses the set "No Peeking" (p23/ $17.95 clear mount) in the Stampin Up Catalog.  This is kind of an unusual color combo but I think it is kind of fun for this card.  The colors are Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Primrose Petal.  The tree designer paper is called "Snow Festival" and can be found on page 10 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Time to get back to work.  Will there be another card posted tomorrow?  I hope so!!!

Paper Flowers For Teacher

This last week was Teacher Appreciation Week at my daughters school.  They had a different theme each day of the week.  Monday was bring your teacher a flower.  I decided to make a paper version for her to bring.  That way these will still look nice until the end of the school year!

The flowers are made from the Daises #2 die from Stampin Up that is being retired this month...which is a bummer!  Although I know they will come up with more fabulous dies to take its place, I hate to say goodbye to this one.

If you are looking for this vase I found it at Walmart for $2.98 which made this a nice inexpensive project!

I actually found some time to stamp this weekend so stop back by tomorrow to check out some other projects I got done!  Have a wonderful Day :)

Packed for Baby

Here is my first card with the set called, "Packed for Baby" from the Stampin Up Occasions Mini Catalog. I didn't get a chance to use many of my stamps before we moved so this is the first time out of the box for this little stamp. There are 3 more stamps that are similar to this stamp set that can be purchased separately or as a bundle. I am working on a card with the "Packed for Dad" stamp that I will try and post tomorrow.

This card was inspired by the Paper Players Challenge this week. The Challenge was to use buttons. You can check out all the great cards created for this challenge or post your own and play along at http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/

Stamps: Packed for Baby (Stampin Up Occastion Mini) Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin up Catalog)
Paper/Ink: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Old Olive.

Mixed Bunch St. Patrick's Day Treats

Here is a very quick project I put together for my daughters bus driver and teacher. I though I had one more day but I forgot that there was no school on Friday so tomorrow is the last school day before St. Patrick's Day. As I said, QUICK project! Inside the box (made with the Fancy Favor Die) is a bag of Peppermint Patties. Now if these were not going to school I probably would have gone with an airplane bottle of Peppermint Schnapps with the mints. :)

I still have not found my designer paper that is buried in the garage from the move. I can now say that the one pack on the Patterns Designer Series Pack that I can find is turning out to be super versatile!

This project uses the set Mixed Bunch and the matching punch from the Stampin Up Spring Mini catalog. The colors are Garden Green, and a little Wild Wasabi, and the ribbon is Pear Pizzazz. The words are from the set Teeny Tiney Wishes (p 157 Stampin Up Catalog).

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great St. Patrick's Day!

Flower Fest Card

Hello Again! I am back for my second post from the new house. I still have not found all my designer paper but I am working with what I have found so far. Ahhh....moving is so fun :) I did this card for the challenge on the Paper Players Blog. I needed some inspiration today to get me going! You can check out the sketch and all the great cards that were designed from it at http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2012/02/challenge-84-sketch-from-leanne.html

So we have moved from Tri Cities, WA, which is pretty sunny to just out side of Seattle where we have found out it really does rain a lot! It is very pretty, and I love all the green, but it is overcast most days. I needed some bright colors to work with today to make up for lack of sun so I went with some Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, and some Wisteria Wonder. I liked the bright colors popping through the dark background.

The stamp set is Flower Fest( Stampin UP Catalog p 124) which is a great set to color. Even my four year old had to get in on the action and wanted to stamp and color some. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs (Stampin UP Catalog p 164).

Thanks for stopping by today!

Watermelon Card

Hello! I am back!!! We are almost settled in to our new house in Maple Valley, WA. I snuck out some supplies and made this card last night for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I still have not found the box with all my designer paper in it so I had use what I could find.

I was really excited to get this set, Mouthwatering, out of the box. I ordered all my new stamps from the mini before we moved and then didn't get a chance to use any of them. I know boo hoo for me :) Hopefully things will slow down again soon and I will have some more time to spend in my new stamp room.

News Update!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been missing in action. Right around Christmas my husband was promoted to a new job that requires us to move. We found a new house, have ours on the market and will be moving the end of next week to our new home in the Seattle Area. It is very exciting but has been a lot of work. My craft room had the most stuff in it so it was one of the first rooms to get cleaned out. :(

My new house has a great space that will soon be my new craft room and I will be up and running again soon. Please look for some new projects and posts in March. This has been a very crazy time for us but hopefully things will be slowing down soon.

Thanks to everyone who checks in! You will be hearing again from me soon!
