Holiday Tags

Wait! Stop! If you are in my clubs and want to be surprised don't look any farther because I think we will be making these next week as one of our projects!!!

Here are some tags I made with the Two Tags die (p 222 Stampin Up Catalog). These were so easy and fast to make. I think they will look great on packages or even on bags of candy or bottles of wine. Below I put them in a package that would also make a nice gift for someone. The Sets I used on these are (from left to right) Easy Events, Christmas Lodge (Holiday Mini), Snow Much Fun, and Pines & Poinsettias (Holiday Mini). The colors are Olive, Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, and Letters to Santa Designer Paper.

Thanks for coming by today!

Halloween Candy Tins

These are the candy tins my kids and I made for their teachers for Halloween. The tins are from the dollar isle at Target. They are then just filled with floral foam and covered with card stock that we went through the paper shredder and crumpled up (my son LOVED that job!) The candy bars are hot glued on craft sticks (be careful not to melt your candy). The owls and Halloween greetings are glue dotted on pencils and all stuck into the floral foam. These were pretty easy and fun to make.

Stamps: Batty for You (p 26 Stampin Up Catalog), Sweet Centers (p 60 Stampin Up Catalog)

Punches: Owl Punch, Scallop Circle, Circle Punches (p 212-213 Stampin Up' Catalog)

Have a great weekend :)

6 Sided Christmas Box

Ha! I told you I would make it back today! I am still working on getting my craft room cleaned back up so I can get some new things made.

Here is just a quick 6 sided box I put together. It uses two of the Milk Cartoon Dies (minus one side each) put together.

The stamp sets are Christmas Lodge, and Petite Pairs, and the paper is Letter's to Santa.

See you tomorrow :)

Party Favor Boxes

I'm Back! I'm Back! I know I have been missing in action for over a month, but now I'm back! My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a week in Jamaica, then off to tailgate at the homecoming game at the University of Idaho, a run in with the flu, a stamp class, and my mom's 2 day holiday stamp camp! Ok so enough with the excuses. How about some new ideas!!!

These are the party favor boxes my mom and I made for her Holiday Stamp Camp. We do two camps a year at her house and we always make something for the stampers to keep their cards in. This year we used the boxes and the ribbon off the Stampin Up Clearance Rack to put together these cute little boxes. We just added some paper to the top and put together some tags to hang on the front. These were pretty easy to make, and good thing, since we made FORTY of them! We had a lot of fun both days catching up with old friends and making some new. The stamps set used on these tags are (from left to right) Festive and Fun (p 38 Stampin' Up Holiday Mini), Christmas Lodge (p 29 Holiday Mini) Snow Much Fun (p 35 Stampin' Up Catalog), Pines & Poinsettias (p 21 Holiday Mini) Easy Events (p 57 Stampin' Up Catalog), Season Of Joy (p 33 Stampin' Up Catalog) The tag shape is from the Two Tags die cut (p 222 Stampin' Up Catalog)

Thanks for stopping by today! I promise I am back for awhile now and will be checking in tomorrow!

Stampin Snowman

I was doing a card swap this weekend for a friend and I got tired of making cards so I threw this little sock snowman together for her. It uses one kids size sock (new and clean of course) and some long grain rice. There is 1 cup in the bottom snowball, and then tied with yarn, then 3/4 in the middle, tied with yarn, and then 1/2 in the top snowball. Then you hot glue the snow balls together so they don't flop around. I tried to get extra tricky and use my frost white paint on the sock to make it sparkly but it turned out kind of blotchy. I think if I tried this again I would maybe dilute it in some water and spray it on instead. Oh well attempt #1 never turns out perfect. You have to start somewhere!!!

I think this little snow lady would also look very cute holding one of those little skinny M&M bags. Maybe I will add that to the next one I make :)

This also uses out of the Stampin' Up Holiday Mini catalog the Holly Berry Bouquet paper, Mica Flakes, the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set, Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Fabric, and from the big catalog the buttons.

Have a great Monday!

Teacher Treats

Today was my son's first day of preschool so we had to make something for his new teachers. He is the youngest so he was SO ready to go off to school today. He helped me run the stars through the big shot and and stuck them on with glue dots. He was all smiles when he handed them to his teachers this morning.

I try not to show you too many things with retired products but this paper just worked too well. It is the Love Notes paper from last years catalog, and the apple from the retired set Tart & Tangy. The words are from the set, A Word For You.

I think he is going to have a wonderful year!

Halloween Treat Tree

My sister in law got me this tree a couple of years ago for my birthday. Every year I make some cute Halloween Treats to hang from it. I am going to make some more for it, but thought I would give you a peak of what I had got done so far.

Both the candy holders are made with the Two Tags Die. I have been borrowing this one on and off from my mom for awhile and I just got my own. Thanks mom! There are so many different things you can do with this die!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day :)

Christmas Lodge

Good Morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. I did sneak into my craft room this weekend for a little. I spent most of the time cleaning so I could find a table to work on. I did however get it cleaned up and got this card done with the set Christmas Lodge. This is from the new Stampin up Holiday Mini.

I turned the Versa Mark pad upside down and used it like a stamp all over the tree image. Then I dumped Iridescent Ice all over it and embossed. It gives it a nice sparkly look.

Stamps: Christmas Lodge, Petite Pairs
Ink/Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Frostwood Lodge DSP

Flower Pots

Ok if you are in my stamp clubs....DON'T LOOK!!! We will be making this project this month :)
I have seen these all over the web so I decided to give them a try. With the new Stampin up Simply Scored tool it went really fast. These use two pieces of 1 1/2 inch by 12 inch paper strips, and they are in 2 inch pots.

I saw this great tutorial on these at Heather's web site at

Thanks for stopping by today. :)

Color Challenge

So I decided to try the Pals Paper Art Color Challenge this week and here were the colors.... Now I tried really hard to come up with something pretty with flowers or a cute Christmas set, but nothing was working for me. All I could think of was my favorite East Coast football team the Virginia Tech Hokies! Sorry all you non football fans, but when you give me Riding Hood Red, Calypso Coral, and Basic Gray, and it is the opening weekend of college football, all it says to me is GO HOKIES!!!!

Stamps: Smarty Pants (the GO is from the GOOD FRIEND stamp) Pennant Parade

Ink/Paper: Riding Hood Red, White, Calypso Coral, Basic Gray.

Punches: 1 3/8 circle (this made the circle and the football), Petite Pennants Builder

Jolly Christmas

Here is another card from the Festive & Fun set from the new Stampin Up Holiday Mini catalog. This is a great set because it give you a Christmas, Halloween, and Valentine's Day stamp for $14.95. I have paired it with my favorite ribbon and favorite paper (Mocha Morning). In case you couldn't guess I love polka dots!

I have no big plans for the weekend other than running after the two kiddos and my husband so I hope to sneak into my craft room and get a few cards done this weekend. Come check back with me next week and see if I actually got anything done :)

Have a great weekend!

Fall Flowers

Good Morning! Here is a card I did for the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. I don't do a lot of square cards but the extra room was fun to work with. I really wanted to go with a fall kind of feel with this one so I chose Mustard, and Saffron, with a little Suede. I couldn't finish it until the UPS man came with my new buttons I ordered at 5:00 last night! Next time we move I am going to check the ups routes to make sure I am at the beginning! I can just see the monster eye roll my husband will do when I tell him that is a factor in our house hunt :)

Have a great day!

Happy Holidays

Yesterday I went through some of the old Mojo Monday sketches and found this one. I used 3 different blue shades, Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo. The stamp sets are Snow Much Fun, Happy Holidays, and Fabulous Phrases. I also added some of the new polka dotted ribbon and the new Mica Flakes from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog (p 21 $3.50).

I have a stamp order coming in today and I am super excited to get some new things. I am not sure how I offending my UPS man but I think I am the LAST person on his route. Sometimes he does not get here until about 7:00. Now for a patient person that would not be a problem but I am not one of those people and I want my stuff NOW! :)

I hope you have a great day!

Halloween Tin

This is a little tin I made with a leftover Mocha Powder tin I had laying around. O.K. actually I am kind of addicted to the stuff and I have LOTS laying around. I make my own Mochas most mornings and this stuff is the best I have found to put in them. The tin is just too cute to throw away so I always hang on to them. I did this Christmas one last year... http://kraftyklemo.blogspot.com/2010/10/starbucks-tin.html

Here is what the tin looks likes before it is covered.

I used the DSP Frightful Sight (p 185 $10.95) and the stamp set Wicked Cool (p 24 $14.95)

These are great to make and have on hand for teacher and friends. Since it already smells like chocolate from the Mocha Powder it is going to have to filled with more chocolate :)

Have a great day!

Snow Much Fun

I was in love with this set as soon as I saw it. I love cute snowman sets!!! However, I have been so busy working on other things this is the first time I have gotten it out of the box.

I did this card for the Paper Players Sketch Challenge this week. I always have to do a few purple cards for Christmas (my daughter's favorite). For this one I threw in a little Island Indigo as well because I just could resist those cute little polka dotted brads. It also has a few squirts of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz to give it just a little sparkle.

Stamps: Snow Much Fun (p 35 $19.95)
Ink/Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo, Concord Crush

Pines & Poinsettias #2

I usually don't get a post up on Saturday but since I was a slacker and missed Friday this is my "make up" post. :)

This card I did for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. You can check out all the great entries or even add your own at http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

So I really am not usually a "pretty" card kind of person. I love everyone else's but they are a struggle for me to make! This I am proud to say is my 2nd attempt at a pretty card this week!

I just received this stamp set for signing up a recruit last month. If you are reading this Natalie Stone thanks for signing up and getting me a free stamp set :) It is such a great set I just had to see what I could do with it.

Stamps: Pines & Poinsettias, Season's Greetings, Delightful Decorations
Ink/Paper: Letters to Santa DSP, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

It's A Wrap Holiday

This was a fun and easy card to make. I used paper from Letter's To Santa, and Holly Berry Bouquet. I cut squares of paper at 3 inch, 2 1/2 inch, 2 inch, 1 1/2 inch, and 1 inch for the top. Then I just cut them in half to get the triangles. The trunk is from the It's a Wrap Holiday set that will be in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

If you are in the Tri Cites, Wa area and would like to make some of these cards in person I am doing a class for Pasco Parks and Rec on Oct 11th. Please check out the link if you are interested!

Pink Zebras?

Hmmmm....I know pink zebras are kind of strange but I wanted to do something a little fun and crazy.

I decided to try the challenge on the Paper Players Blog. I have looked at lots of challenges but I have never actually done one. For this challenge I had to use Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, and Rose Red. I have had the Zoo Review set on my desk for a couple of weeks and no time to play with it so the little zebras got to go pink today. I think this would make a great "pick me up" kind of card.

Hopefully when it goes in the mail it will make someone smile, or go hmmmm Pink Zebras?

Stamps: Zoo Review, Pursuit of Happiness

Ink/Paper: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Basic Black, Whisper White

Lighthearted

Here is a card with an old and a new set. The images are from the set Batty For You which has always been one of my favorite Halloween sets. The words are from the new set called Lighthearted that is in the new Stampin Up Holiday Mini. Stamps: Lighthearted (p 35 Holiday Mini $14.95 in clear) Batty For You (p 26 $23.95)
Ink/Paper: Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, Frightful Sight (p 185 $10.95)

What's up Tomorrow? I am not sure? I guess it depends how much stamping time I get today :)

The other "Very Merry" stamp is from a new set called It's a Wrap Holidays that will be in the new Holiday Mini catalog coming out Sept 1st.

Here is another card with the new set Gently Falling that will be out in the new Stampin Up Holiday Mini catalog in Sept. Have a great weekend!

Hand Warmer/Ice Pack

Look! Another fabric project with the super cute "Spice Cake" fabric from Stampin up.

These are filled with barley and can be placed in the freezer to be used as an ice pack or microwaved to be a hand warmer. I still stand by my "No Sewing" policy so I begged for help from my very talented friend Erin Hopkins. She was nice enough to sew these together for me! I put on a few embellishments and tadahh! These will be great to have on hand (hee hee on hand...get it...) to give out as gifts.

Thanks for stopping by today. :) Tomorrow I have a new card from the Gently Falling set to show you.

Cork Board Frame

I ordered this super cute Spice Cake Designer Fabric from Stampin' UP to coordinate with my Spice Cake Designer Paper. Now normally I am not a fabric person at all but I thought I would give it a go. I actually had a lot of fun making this little frame and did not have to sew at all! I used some glue dots, glue gun, and some staples. Maybe some day I will work myself up to sewing! Remove the glass from your frame. This is just an old one that had fallen off the wall long ago and had no glass.

Measure the opening on the back and cut a piece of cork board to fit it the frame. Cut your fabric large enough to wrap the edges around your cork board. Then just staple and glue it into your frame. Then just decorate the frame and you are done! Quick and easy little memo board!

Thanks for stopping by today. I have another fabric project coming soon.

Festive & Fun #2

This is a fun and fast card made with the new set Festive & Fun from the Stampin' Up Holiday Mini. By just repeating the stamp you can create your own background paper. This is a great card to do if you have limited supplies. All you need is black ink and black and white paper.
